The mission of Sight-Hearing Encouragement Program, Inc. (SHEP) is to enable each person who is DeafBlind to live and work in his or her community of choice. Sight Hearing Encouragment Program is the biggest non-profit in the state of Oklahoma that provides vocational training exclusively to youth and adults who want to serve as an accessibility bridge to the DeafBlind. We currently have an exciting career opportunity available to join our team as a part time Personal Support Service Provider Assistant. The location of this position is Oklahoma City (Surrounding Area), OK. In this role, the Personal Support Service Provider Assistant will work closely with the President, Vice President, and other program leaders to support the success of the Oklahoma SSP program. This includes assisting with planning, coordination, and day-to-day operations, as well as providing administrative and program support. The Assistant will play a key role in helping to manage schedules, organize resources, and ensure smooth communication across stakeholders. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing reports for leadership and stakeholders, and helping identify and address potential program challenges to keep projects on track and aligned with organizational goals.
Who We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of ASL/tactile sign language (Level 3 certification preferred)
Proficiency in multiple social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must hold a valid driver’s license and current up to date car insurance
Must sign a confidentiality agreement
Non-smoking due to heightened sensitivity to smell
Position Benefits
Work Schedule- 2 days per week Monday, Thursday, / 4 hours per day
Off all Federal Holidays
Paid Contractor with part-time hours
Paid Bi-weekly at $23 per hour
**In the event of client / contractor cancellation of duty day due to unforeseen events or illness it will be the contractor’s responsibility to communicate and make up the missed day before contract end.**
