Deafblind International and Perkins School for the Blind are excited to host the first-ever Network of the Americas Conference ( ). Don’t miss this unique opportunity to network, learn and have fun with leaders in the field of deafblindness from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

Deafblind International is an international not-for-profit membership organization focused on the needs of individuals who are deafblind, their families and the professionals who provide services.

The Deafblind International Conference Team is in search of qualified and experienced interpreters and Support Service Providers to work throughout the length of the conference. Preference will be given to given to interpreters with experience working with DeafBlind individuals. Specific recommendations from DeafBlind community members and seasoned interpreters recommended.

PAYMENT - A daily flat rate will be offered for interpreters working a full day schedule.

TRAVEL/LODGING STIPENDS - Stipends will be provided for official conference interpreters. All participants are expected to reserve their own rooms and coordinate
shared space. Depending on interpreter travel/lodging preferences, the travel stipend may not cover all expenses.

INTERPRETING POLICY - All interpreters are expected to provide SSP/guiding support throughout their scheduled work at the conference.

SSP REGISTRATION - It is the DBI conference policy that SSPs accompanying an attendee are to pay the SSP registration fees which covers the cost of meals throughout the event.
