What’s That Smell?

Instead of smell socks we had sensory socks and sensory jars. How Keen is your nose? Each person had to put their hand in each mystery sock and figure out what in tarnation was in that sock by the use of feeling only. We put those noses to work when we popped off lids and passses jars around to get a whiff. What is it? Think you would have guessed 10 out of 10?

The only way to really know if you were there! This was an IamDB event. Cassandra shared some captivating and hilarious stories of how with her being the only deafblind person in the family, she can find things we lose around the house. While everyone else is using their eyes, Cassandra gets busy taking her time roaming and letting her hands and fingers take a stroll through the house until she finds it. Ta-Da! She has saved the day again!

We had some state officials come and visit and join in on the fun!

Be sure to follow us and keep with the events

Cassandra was reading John chapter 10 in the bible.. When you believe no one or nothing can snatch you away!

Jesus says I know my sheep and my sheep know my voice. they listen to my (Jesus) voice and follow me. Think about this. come and learn and when you believe and have a can do attitude, so much more opens up to you. With SHEP serving the DeafBlind community, We encourage you to engage and join us. you will surely find many great opportunities provided to you! educative, informative learning skills and so much more. Learn more about the DeafBlinds’ way of life and you just may happen across a friend of old or new.! Just as the scripture said, HE who believes. Well, what is it you believe? I believe ‘you can’! You fill in the blank after that. When you believe no one can take that away from you.

SHEP was invited on a podcast. She even discussed this mentality of optimism. Cassandra shared how SHEP was born with a little insight into her childhood and educational journey. Connect with us on Facebook and check it out!

Time stands still for no one, not even Dr. Marvel.! We need SSPs. Contact Amanda, ourSSP manager and let’s get you started. See Below of what’s ahead.

Psalm 85:12: "The Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest." Harvest time is near! What does that mean to you? Not just gathering fruits and vegetables.
